The Steve Drzewicki Band:

The Steve Drzewicki Band, which has been performing for more than 30 years, is a 2009 inductee into the Michigan State Polka Hall of Fame.

Steve Drzewicki has performed at the St. Stan's AC Polish Festival, Michigan's largest Polish festival.  for 37 consecutive years. His father, the late Sal Drzewicki, originally formed a polka band in the 1930s. Steve Drzewicki's uncle, the late ''Polka'' Stan Drzewicki, took the band over a number of years later. Steve played at the St. Stan's Fest the first time when he was 13, with Stan's band. He played drums, as did his father, but as his health was going Steve  took his place. Steve Drzewicki took over as band leader in the early 1980s. Musicians Gary Mueller, Mike Corbin and Bill Treichel have performed for several decades with Steve Drzewicki. 

On Dec. 11 2009 The Steve Drzewicki Band announced the release of a brand new recording. The name of the CD  is called "Live at St. Stan's A.C. Polish Fest". The band was recorded "live" on June 26th, 2009 at St.Stan's A.C. Polish Fest in Bay City, MI. 2009 marked the 37th straight year that Steve Drzewicki, a 07 inductee into the
Michigan State Polka Music Hall of Fame, played at Michigan's Largest Polish Fest.

The band was recorded "live" on June 26th, 2009 at St.Stan's A.C. Polish Fest in Bay City, MI. 2009 marked the 37th straight year that Steve Drzewicki, a 07 inductee into the Michigan State Polka Music Hall of Fame, played at Michigan's Largest Polish Fest.

The CD is over 50 minutes long and includes 18 songs and 26 total tracks including intros. You really feel as if you are at the party. 

The cd features 5 fiddle tunes with Gary Mueller, a veteran in the band, and Brien Ahern, a 13 year old fiddling sensation.

There are 5 songs in Polish, 14 polkas, 2 oberek's and 2 waltzes total. This includes 5 brand new original polkas written by the band as well as some of the most requested and 'standard' polkas that any band at a polka fest gets asked to play including Apple Peaches Pumpkin Pie, Young Years, Zosia, Honky Style Polkas and more.

The final track on the cd,  a bonus track, features  the original recording of "Ole Pine Tree" made famous by  "Polka Stan" Drzewicki back in 1983.
